Journal Title: مجلة البشائر الاقتصادية - Year 2015, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The concept of corporate governance is gaining importance after the spectacular bankruptcies of large corporations in the United States in 2002 and before that in other countries. Some international organizations have established governance principles to help countries develop their legal and institutional frameworks and implement this concept. Corporate governance is key to improving economic efficiency, and poor governance could be disastrous for economic and financial stability. The Algerian governance code: despite the late penetration of the concept of governance, Algeria is trying to raise awareness of the challenges of corporate governance in Algeria to rapid progress, in close relation with the question of the transition to a global economy. modern and efficient market. The Algerian economy contains considerable potential for growth and non-hydrocarbon development, in order to release responses, but the companies themselves must be in a position to guarantee the internal conditions of their performance, to drain the financing and other scarce resources they need for their development and give them the visibility and stability necessary for their sustainability. All these requirements go through good governance.
