Journal Title: Eminak - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 4
Abstract
The article raises known in archaeology, history and ethnology of early production problems nomads handmade pottery. In the steppe burials of early nomads (X-VIII/VII century BC), Northern Black Sea Coast found a few dozen hand-made vessels for various purposes (for cooking, food storage, food and drink). Many vessels have direct analogies among the ceramics produced by the settled population, living in the forest-steppe zone. Despite the obvious similarities, in the literature there is no conclusive evidence could whether or not a vessel to be produced in a nomadic community or sedentary farmers. The authors propose to address this complex issue, on the basis of modern analytical methods for the study of ancient ceramics. A brief description of the methods of microtomography, the petrographic and binocular microscopy. Various methods of multidimensional mathematical statistics will be used for further data processing. The authors suggest a multidisciplinary approach for the first time will give the opportunity to compare the natural sciences to the archaeological data
