Correlation Between Aftereffects for Roughness of Surfaces of Metal Counterface and Carbon-Plastics
Journal Title: Фізика і хімія твердого тіла - Year 2015, Vol 16, Issue 2
Abstract
Regularities of change of isotropic roughness surfaces of steel 45 in friction and wear in a pair with polymer composite has been researched. It has been detected that the topography of the conjugated metal surface with polymer composite is the dominant factor in determining the value of wear of carbon-plastics at both the start and in the process friction and wear when the metal surface roughness is created by the composite. It has been established that between aftereffects values for roughness of metal counterface and polymer composite in friction and wear exists reliable linear relationship.

Strength of the Carbon Nanotube Films
The strength of nanodevices is caused by the interatomic distance decreace in nanostructures.Graphene nanofilm has 35 times larger strength than the steel. Thin whisker crystals grown from the gas phase are ten times mor...
Structure and Mechanical Characteristics of Reaction Hot Pressed Ti-B-Al Composites
Reaction hot-pressing method was developed to produce ТіВ2 – Al composites using Ті, Al, and В non-grinned powders. In-situ exothermic reaction allowed to obtain dense materials with high HV (23 GPa) and K1C (9 MPa*m1/2)...
