CREATION OF CITY MUNICIPAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS WITH THE HELP OF GIS-TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract
The essence is revealed and the basic components of the municipal information system formation are determined. Theoretical bases of geoinformation systems are investigated. Geoinformation systems’ methods are applied and technologies for creating the municipal information system are proposed. The obtained results consist in the fact, that on the studies’ basis carried out and the proposed procedure for the MIC creation, it is possible to form a unified information space for the city, to create the geobase set and geobanks data. This will ensure the organizations’ and citizens’ information interaction, as well as the satisfaction of their information needs, geo-information support for the plans’ and forecasts’ development of the city socioeconomic development and its districts. This approach can be extended to the entire territory of Ukraine.
