CREATIVE CHARACTER OF AN ARTIST’S VOLITIONAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

In the article the analysis of an artist’s volitional activity is made. It is proved that volitional character of a human’s creativity best appears in his transformative activity aimed at adapting to natural and social environment. Real artist goes original way, dethroning authorities and trusting his own intuition only so that having done dozens of unsuccessful attempts early or later he creates something qualitatively new. The author pays much attention to research of such voli- tional qualities of an artist as purposefulness, courage, determination, boldness and diligence which motivate the subject of transforming activity follow the chosen path to achieve noble goals. It is stated that an artist’s volitional activity which is aimed at material and natural values formation is often followed by the alienation from society phenomenon. Genius’s contemplation of reality requires certain neglecting his own personality for genius as an embodiment of objec- tivity is opposed to subjective, penetrated into itself will. The condition of genius’ revelation in art is his cognitive ability which is more powerful than one of other people. Independence of individual will produces genius’ excess of forces; so that he is constantly in a state of anxiety and excitement. For an artist as a subject of transforming activity it is typical to have increased level of creativity intensity and genius himself is often not adapted to social environment and perceived by other people hard. Volition impulse in creativity contributes to that everything new and innovative is able to withstand natural and artificial obstacles. No obstacles are able to interfere with the true piece of creation to take its place the social and cultural experience of mankind. So it’s very important to stick to the criterion of matching the purpose as it is social environment who determines which of newly created is necessary and up to date and what’s not. In social development all new is not only compared to the traditional but also all samples of social and cultural tradition have in their turn passed the successful time check. At the same time it is artist’s that determines destiny of his creature either give it possibility to exist or even destroy.
