THE INSTRUMENTARY OF POLITICAL WEB-COMMUNICATIONS AS A COMPONENT OF MEDIA EDUCATION IN POLITICAL CONSULTING

Abstract

The article deals with the features of political web communications in the context of political consulting. Political consulting is an important part of media studies, because in the context of the information environment the work of journalists and public relations specialists have to correspond to the actual demands of the audience and react to them in time. The aim of the paper is to review and characterize the cases of political web communications, to outline the tools of political web communications in the context of modern political consulting, to diagnose the mistakes of the participants in the communication process. Therefore, in the study special attention is paid to the modern case of political web communications, operating under conditions of the state of hybrid warfare of Ukraine-Russia confrontation. As a result, of their review and analysis, recommendations for web communicators have been developed. Considering the features of modern information conflicts, the Internet as the global system, and social networks and online media in particular, are becoming the largest platform for heterogeneous audiences’ communication and the favorable environment for the public opinion formation. Therefore, an overview of such communication phenomenon as a trolling made it possible to define the basic principles of political web communication. Trolling is widely used in web-communications in socially important (especially political) topics. The mechanisms of typical trolls’ behavior is related both to the requirements of search engine optimization mechanisms, and to the psychological techniques, that encourage Internet users to engage in discussions and to multiply and promote certain content, which is the purpose of trolling. The communicative component of modern political web communications is a rather promising topic for researching, as the technologies are constantly being transformed, which is connected with the specifics of the development of the Internet. This requires both the reaction of the professional communicators of the Ukrainian media sector and the media literacy of the audience.
