Abstract
The article analyzes the historical and art history aspects of V.M. Verkhovynets. His contribution to the development of music education. The formation of the personality of an outstanding musician in all its multifacetedness and polyvariance is analyzed. The role of the "Vesnianochka" collection in the system of music education is considered.
