Crenças sobre Material Didático – Análise do uso de uma Plataforma Digital no processo de Ensino-aprendizagem da Língua Inglesa

Abstract

Traditionally, English language schools use printed teaching resources. However, there are countless resources available on the Internet for students and teachers of English. The goal of this article is to identify students’ beliefs and their perceptions about experiences and learning, comparing the use of the printed materials with digital ones. This study is based on the theoretical framework of the sociocultural perspective applied to teaching and learning, as well as on the use of teaching resources in this perspective, on students’ beliefs in this process, and on a brief description of the teaching resource chosen for this study. The results interpreted from the data collected in the focus group developed with students that used digital learning resources and the theoretical frame adopted show ideas and suggestions for the use of digital learning resources and the possibilities this type of resource, allied with the use of the Internet, can bring to a student’s learning process.
