Abstract
The article outlines the general characteristics of the institute of agreements on recognition of guilt in the USА and Spain. There are described the main gaps in the legal regulation of the conduct of criminal proceedings on the basis of an agreement on the recognition of guilt and some of the ways to overcome them in the article.
