Criteria and Indicators for Professional and Pedagogical Competence Assessment of the Students of Master Degree Course of Agrarian Specialities

Abstract

The paper focuses on the criteria and indicators determination for professional pedagogical competence assessment of the students of master degree course of agrarian specialities. In order to obtain the necessary criteria and indicators the concept "professional pedagogical competence of a teacher of higher education of agrarian specialities" has been determined on the basis of the theoretical analysis of pedagogical literature. The main components of professional pedagogical competence of a teacher of higher education of agrarian specialities have been investigated. The connection between the components of professional pedagogical competence of a teacher of higher education of agrarian specialities and the components of professional pedagogical competence of a student of master degree course of agrarian specialities has been considered. The concepts "criterion" and "indicator" have been analyzed. The author determines a criterion as a principle or standard for professional pedagogical competence assessment of a student of master degree course of agrarian specialities. The author considers an indicator as qualitative and quantitative characteristics of a criterion. The problem of criteria and indicators determination in the scientific research has been investigated by the author. The main criteria for professional pedagogical competence assessment of the students of master degree course of agrarian specialities and their indicators have been propounded.
