Crítica del libro La salud en la trama comunicacional contemporánea

Abstract
Al comenzar a adentrarse en un campo de estudios como el que aquí se presenta, uno supone que la relación académica entre Comunicación y Salud data de hace mucho tiempo, pero en verdad se caracteriza por su actualidad. Aunque ambas disciplinas tienen un trayecto académico innegable, hace relativamente poco que su análisis relacional se incluyó como parte de la agenda académica actual. En este contexto, este libro se asienta en un cambio de paradigma que empieza a pensar la relación entre comunicación y salud desde un enfoque anclado en las ciencias sociales. Claramente, es una apuesta colectiva a pensar y re-pensar la relación entre ambas ciencias a partir de los diferentes ejes que las atraviesan: las relaciones de poder; el sistema sanitario público argentino; los diferentes aspectos que caracterizan esta relación (políticos, culturales, ideológicos); las críticas al binomio salud/enfermedad, a la centralidad del discurso médico hegemónico (donde la comunicación aparece de manera unidireccional); la influencia de las nuevas tecnologías; entre otros. Sin embargo, este campo no es homogéneo, y lejos está de serlo. Justamente, La salud en la trama comunicacional contemporánea es el resultado de esas heterogeneidades. Por eso, el lector encontrará que cada artículo se posiciona desde diferentes inquietudes y aspectos, todos válidos y prometedores, en el ejercicio de la reflexión colectiva.
