Presentación: “Indisciplinando a las ciencias sociales”

Abstract

Hace tiempo que resulta políticamente correcto sostener la necesidad de una producción de conocimiento inter, multi o trans disciplinar. Cualquiera que opine lo contrario, y lo exprese públicamente, será sin duda alguna mal observado por sus pares. No obstante, esta concepción muchas veces repetida, no ha generado grandes frutos en su plasmación concreta. Se demostró que no es pues tarea sencilla, desandar tradiciones pedagógicas hechas carne en instituciones y prácticas educativas que constantemente actualizan los compartimentos estancos de las fronteras disciplinares. Como sostuvo Wallerstein, opera siempre el sentido de seguridad de las disciplinas, sobre todo en los pequeños espacios como los departamentos.
