Abstract
Literary criticism represents one major part of the disciplines studying literature. It has raised many debates regarding its position as scientific discipline in opposition to so-called “true” scientific disciplines such as mathematics, physics etc. Nevertheless, literary criticism has its particularities and its degree of specialization differs from one author to another, from one direction to another. It has particular characteristics which rely it to specialized discourse and make it difficult to understand by the non specialists.
