CRYPTOCURRENCY AS AN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION INSTRUMENT FOR FINANCIAL-ECONOMIC RELATIONS: ACCOUNTING ASPECT

Abstract
The article analyses the existing approaches to understanding the category of “cryptocurrency” in Ukraine and in the world. The essence of this term in the accounting aspect is revealed and the own definition is proposed. The specificity and peculiarities of the processes of creation and use of cryptocurrency in economic activity are investigated. The basic functions of cryptocurrency as a tool of financial and economic relations are determined.
