Culture of Nature in Venezuela: Between Rhetoric and Euphemism
Journal Title: Social Innova Sciences - Year 2019, Vol 1, Issue 2
Abstract
This research corresponds to an interpretative philosophical hermeneutics (Gadamer, 1977) and a critical discourse analysis (Van Dijk, 1992) in the study of fundamental documentation, international conventions on the environment, conservation, pollution, ecology, biodiversity and development. signed by Venezuela in the last four decades of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st century, which are characterized by rhetoric, fallacy, demagoguery and euphemism, as a way of maintaining asymmetric relations of domination between developed and underdeveloped countries. . The theoretically stated objectives were achieved to the extent that each international agreement and the respective Venezuelan legislation were interpreted. The study is also argued with conceptual theoretical contributions that help to become aware of the importance of Nature for the very future of life, especially since Venezuela is a part of the Amazonian territory, with the largest and best reserves of biodiversity in the world. planet. In this sense, from the exhaustive review of the documents of the international agreements, it is concluded that for their fulfillment, the multilateral organizations: World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank, very well related to the United Nations Organization, finance the necessary actions to carry out the agreements, which in many cases are not evidenced anywhere in the country and serve only to enrich certain sectors.
