Current Approach In Health Sciences Research: Critical Incident Techniques

Abstract
ABSTRACT: Critical incidents technique (CIT) widespread uses as a current approach in health sciences research developed by John C. Flanagan et al. The purpose of using CIT, the participant’s memories of specific events as possible to help in the identification, learn all the details about an event and to help people with similar problems may occur in the future. For this purpose, workplaces, in marketing has been widely used in many fields such as medicine and nursing. There are some things to consider when using the critical incidents technique. Critical event in the identification process, a detailed description of the event, description of behaviour in the events and outcomes and it should be fully described what the consequences were by participants that to be converted into meaningful reports of critical incidents. CIT’s data collection under natural conditions, in the data collection phase researcher being important, in line with the interview data as collection of words, reflecting the participant’s aspects, the existence of the features such as the data collected by open-ended questions that the inductive analysis that has led to its acceptance as a technique of qualitative research. In the health sciences uncover believes, ideas, suggestions behind the student’s or colleague’s behaviours that together using with qualitative and quantitative research methods for developing new theory and hypothesis, to undertake more qualified research and it is important in terms of research’s consequences provide opportunities to reflect on education and clinics.
