Abstract
Current challenges of the wooden house sector to increase its market potential. Wooden houses will have to respond flexibly and effectively to the current challenges affecting the sector if they want to maintain the market growth potential they have gained over the past ten years. This paper is focus on the determination of the basic requirements of the building construction. These requirements are determined from the point of view of technical and technological properties, but also the principles of comfortable and modern living. We primarily based on the applicable legislation and requirements of the Building Standards and the Building Typology Study. From the basic requirements of wooden houses, our attention is focused on the energy performance specification according to STN EN 15 459. ISO 14 040 and 14 044 assess ecological impacts through the LCA (Life cycle assessment) method. The economic aspect is assessed by the Life Cycle Costing analysis (LCCA) according to ISO 15 686. The second main aspect of this paper is about the spatial housing requirements in a family house. The changing of the anthropometric dimensions of the human body specify spatial needs for the quality of the living environment. The output of this paper is the recommendations resulting from the analysis of this aspect and its importance for the wooden houses sector in Slovakia.
