Journal Title: Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces - Year 2013, Vol 169, Issue 3
Abstract
Different types of damage, including cracks, are a special type of wear in parts of vehicles. The article presents the phenomenon of crankshaft failures in diesel engines based on macroscopic studies. The article is a study of three cases of damage to the crankshaft in light commercial vehicle engines. Shafts with a different damage propagation stage in relation to the new crankshaft with well-known physical and material properties were analyzed.
