DE L’IRRATIONNEL AU RATIONNEL : QUAND LES ANIMAUX TIENNENT LE DISCOURS DE LA VÉRITÉ AUX HOMMES

Abstract

Abstract: This study, which focused on the appearing of wildlife elements in black Africa tales, seized animal as thematic symbol and acting strength. The wildlife in the narrative universe of oral texts assumes a treble functionality: address society ideas, recommend ways of behavior to adopt in such or such circumstance and to conform to communities standards. Animal’s symbolization help to lead into human wisdom, key element of social peace. Résumé: Cette étude, qui s’est intéressée à la figuration faunesque dans les contes de l’Afrique noire, a saisi l’animal en tant que symbole thématique et force agissante. Le bestiaire dans l’univers narratif des textes oraux assume une triple fonctionnalité : véhiculer les idéaux de la société, indiquer les repères de conduite à tenir dans telle ou telle circonstance et se conformer aux normes communautaires. La symbolisation animale permet de déboucher sur la sagesse humaine, élément fondamental de la paix sociale. Mots-clés: bestiaire africain, éthique nègre, moralisation sociale, osmose communautaire, sagesse.
