Death and life loss of pancreatic cancer among residents in Yuyao from 2014 to 2021

Abstract
ObjectiveTo determine the death levelï¼ change trend and life loss of pancreatic cancer among residents in Yuyaoï¼ and to provide scientific reference for the prevention and control of pancreatic cancer.MethodsThe death monitoring data of registered residents in Yuyao from 2014 to 2021 were collected to calculate crude mortality rateï¼CMRï¼ï¼ standardized mortality rate ï¼SMRï¼ï¼ potential years of life lost ï¼PYLLï¼ï¼ average years of life lost ï¼AYLLï¼ï¼ PYLL rate ï¼PYLLRï¼ï¼ average annual percent change ï¼AAPCï¼ and other indicators.ResultsFrom 2014 to 2021ï¼ 860 cases of pancreatic cancer died in Yuyaoï¼ accounting for 6.25% of all malignant tumor deaths in the same period. The average annual mortality rate was 12.86/100 000ï¼ the age-standardized rate by Chinese standard population ï¼ASRCï¼ was 7.08/100 000ï¼ and the age-standardized rate by world Segiâs population ï¼ASRWï¼ was 5.17/100 1000. The CMR showed an upward trend in eight years ï¼t=-5.076ï¼ P=0.002ï¼. 493 men died of pancreatic cancer with an average annual mortality of 14.95/100 000ï¼ ASRC of 8.13/100 000ï¼ and ASRW was of 6.24/100 000. 367 women died of pancreatic cancer with an average annual mortality rate of 10.82/100 000ï¼ ASRC of 6.02/100 000ï¼ and ASRW of 4.14/100 000. The mortality rate of men was higher than that of women ï¼Ï2=22.191ï¼ P<0.001ï¼. The minimum death age of pancreatic cancer is 27.52 years oldï¼ the maximum death age is 94.52 years oldï¼ and median age ï¼Q1ï¼ Q2ï¼ of death was ï¼»71.13ï¼63.21ï¼ 78.87ï¼ï¼½ years old. The death age of men ï¼»69.61ï¼62.30ï¼ 77.06ï¼ï¼½ was less than that of women ï¼»72.48ï¼64.63ï¼ 81.09ï¼ï¼½ ï¼t=-3.820ï¼ P<0.001ï¼. The mortality rate of pancreatic cancer showed an upward trend with age ï¼Ï2trend=1 110.844ï¼ P<0.001ï¼ï¼ and the 75 year old mortality rate ï¼75.58/100 000ï¼ fell after reaching the peak. PYLL caused by death of pancreatic cancer in 8 years was 9 775.00 person yearsï¼ AYLL was 14.33 person yearsï¼ and PYLLR was1.53â°.ConclusionPancreatic cancer is an important cause of death for residents in Yuyaoï¼ which has a huge loss of life. It is necessary to formulate targeted prevention and control strategiesï¼ with the middle-aged and elderly as the key populationï¼ to reduce the incidence and death of pancreatic cancer.
