Decydenci amerykańskiej polityki zagranicznej i amerykańskie misje pomocowe w Rosji: Komitet Informacji Publicznej i Amerykańska Misja Czerwonego Krzyża (1917 - 1918)

Abstract
The article covers the contitions that determined the Russo-American bilateral relations in the years 1917-1918, when the world order underwent dramatic changes. The object of analysis is the attitude of American decision-makers towards the Russian policy. The American political elite was divided: the majority advocated for the unconditional suport for the anti-Bolshevik forces. However, among the decision-makers were some supporters of the development of contacts with Soviet government in the name of primay of interest over ideology. The Author points out that both states were forced to settle the bilateral relations. The American aid missions (to be precise, disguised diplomatic and intelligence missions) became unofficial platforms of this kind of informal relations.
