Definiteness of the legal norm: essential and temporal aspects

Abstract
This article analyzes the legal nature of such a category as the legal certainty of the legal norm. Its concrete contents are established, doctrinal interpretation of separate elements of this legal idea is given. The certainty of the legal system of Ukraine is characterized from the standpoint of clarity, clarity, and predictability of the norms that make up it. In the temporal relation, the content of the criteria of stability and irreversibility of the law is analyzed and investigated, and the norm becomes effective only after its promulgation. Examples of the incorrect approach of the domestic legislator to the account of requirements of legal certainty at lawmaking are given. The practice of the European application of this principle has been studied.
