Abstract
The article investigates the problems of formation of art culture of music teacher in the classroom on the disciplines of vocal and choral cycle. The analysis of moral bases of art culture of the teacher of music, and also its role in professional activity of the teacher is carried out. On the basis of the theoretical analysis of the concept "art culture" some aspects of formation of art culture of the teacher of music are considered. The article presents the main factors influencing the formation of the artistic culture of the music teacher. First of all, these are personal qualities, worldview and professional skills, high level of intelligence and empathy. Considerable attention is paid to such methods that will contribute to the improvement of the artistic culture of music teachers: attraction to the elements of independent interpretation of vocal and choral music; listening to the song in the performing interpretations of different vocalists and choral groups; combination of interpretation of vocal works with elements of choreography, staging, theatricalization.
