DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGE OF URBANIZED TERRITORIES AT THE EXAMPLE OF THE CITIES KYIV REGION

Abstract
Changes in the number of urban population of the Kiev region for the period from 1989-2017 were researched. The number of cities population in the region according to the Zipf’s rule of was determined. The idealistic (according to the Zipf’s rule) and real population of the cities of Kyiv region are analyzed. The issue of population size of cities is investigated, depending on the degree of influence of the center of the settlement system. The tendencies of population dynamics of cities of the Kyiv region for the period from 1989-2017 are analyzed.
