Abstract
The description is a structural constituent in Henriete Yvonne Stahl’s texts, dependent on the storyline, bearing various functions and providing information with regard to the chronotope, significant details concerning space or characters, the literary representation of this type of text going beyond the purely narrative elements of the story. The description does not present itself as a pause in the storyline but rather as a symbolic overdetermination of the facts displayed in the story, frequently overlapping landscape description with the interior, psychological one.
