Descriptive Content Analysis for Studies Related to Astronomy

Abstract
Astronomy is a science of increasing importance in terms of perceiving knowledge at the concept level and developing students' ability to establish space-time relation as well as gaining right thinking.With the increase in the studies on astronomy,it is predicted that positive results will be obtained for the development of education and training level in our country.In this study, descriptive content analysis and astronomy studies are aimed to be gathered under certain themes and analyzed with a holistic perspective.In this study,articles published in the journals of ULAKBİM National Database and YÖK National Thesis Center were scanned and articles that could be included in astronomy are examined. As a result of the studies,some themes were determined for the analysis of the studies.These themes are purpose, method,sample level,data collection tools,data analysis method,results and suggestions. According to the results of the study,it was determined that the studies on astronomy were not sufficient.In line with the results of the study,it was suggested that studies on astronomy were carried out on various samples and at the same time suggestions were made to create learning environments in which misconceptions would be solved by using various methods and techniques.
