Design and Implementation of Open Smart Training Center for Urban Rail Transit Vehicles

Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2025, Vol 28, Issue 3

Abstract

[Objective] Existing training centers are generally accessible to students only during scheduled class hours. To ensure sufficient hands-on practice time for students to develop their skills, assisting them in building professional qualities, and to improve equipment utilization rate, flexibility in practice, and intelligent management of training centers, it is necessary to design an open smart training center tailored to urban rail transit training requirements. [Method] Taking the train driving and emergency response training center of urban rail vehicle application technology program at a school as example, a construction plan is proposed for an open smart training center for urban rail transit vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the ′training center′). The plan covers the design of training content, structural composition, and management process of the training center. Using the development and application of digital equipment and smart technologies, the implementation methods during the entire training process are described, including registration and reservation, attendance and assessment, monitoring and management, course content design, and multi-dimensional comprehensive evaluation. [Result & Conclusion] Utilizing AI (artificial intelligence) solutions based on voice and motion recognition, the training center can realize the intelligent evaluation of voice command and gesture compliance in train driving and emergency response exercises. By transforming into an open and smart model, the training center can enhance intelligent management capabilities, increase the utilization rate of training equipment, and improve the flexibility of student-led training times.
