Design and Optimization of Pressurized Toroidal LPG Fuel Tanks with Variable Section
Journal Title: HIDRAULICA - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
This study addresses the design and optimization of the pressurized toroidal LPG fuel tanks with variable section used in automotive industry based on the finite element analysis (FEA) approaches, to model both thermal and mechanical processing conditions. To define specific key performance indicators and to determine the optimal form of toroidal LPG fuel tank with the minimum stress state and linear deformation was applied a mathematical and mechanical foundation for the design and optimization. Computer aided investigations are carried out using 3D models done in the AutoCAD Autodesk 2017 software, which were imported to SolidWorks 2017 software for analysis and can offer an important reference for the design of toroidal LPG fuel tanks.

Estimation of Water Infiltration at a Given Embankment Dam with Sealing Deficiencies by a 3D Numerical Model
The paper presents a way of studying the water infiltration at the Motru embankment Dam (river ballast fill, clay core sealing) by a 3D numerical model covering the deficient right supporting bank. Since due to sealing i...
The 3D Geometry Reconstruction of a Scaled Axial Blade by Photogrammetry
The paper illustrates the Reverse Engineering of an axial blade geometry, who was scanned through Photogrammetry technique and processed with the following software packages: Agisoft Photoscan and Geomagic Design X; the...
Statistical Analysis of the Pollution of a Hydraulic Oil Based on the Evolution of the Filter Clogging on the Pressure Pipe
We present in this paper the results of an experimental study conducted on the analysis of the influence of clogging of a hydraulic filter, installed on the discharge pipe of a variable displacement pump, the operating p...
Beam Sag Compensation in Single Column Heavy Duty Vertical Lathes
This paper shows some of the theoretical and experimental research activities carried out by the authors during the remanufacturing of a heavy duty vertical lathe. The research focused on the diminution of the beam sag (...
Water Flow Transition on a Hydropower Virtually Developed Sector of Bârzava River in the Town of Resita
A water flow numerical modelling is developed on the paper for a given sector on Bârzava River where a hydropower associated deviation is assumed, in case of accidental high waters in the Town of Reșița. The model includ...
