Optimizing Air Flow Instilled in an Aeration Pool
Journal Title: HIDRAULICA - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 4
Abstract
The experiment is considering a case study for two municipal wastewater treatment plants that have been equipped with a new control system over a period of 10 months: 1) The experiment was carried out in parallel and the same conditions for water treatment on installation A and installation B, (experimental group) and 2) experiment on another pool with aeration controlled by the classic method (reference group). Both methods have been tested beforehand. Various cases have been studied during the experiment, corresponding to the main ways of controlling the aeration process. The values chosen for aeration control parameters are common values used in these cases.

Statistical Analysis of the Pollution of a Hydraulic Oil Based on the Evolution of the Filter Clogging on the Pressure Pipe
We present in this paper the results of an experimental study conducted on the analysis of the influence of clogging of a hydraulic filter, installed on the discharge pipe of a variable displacement pump, the operating p...
Design Details of a Turbine Model Used for Energy Conversion in Low Flow Rate Water Streams
The potential of water flows has been used since ancient times. Today more than ever, the water streams are used for energy production. Depending on the three essential parameters of water flow represented by flow veloci...
Fault Tree Analysis Used in Offshore Industry
Fault Tree Analysis is one of the engineering tools that provide a systematic and descriptive approach to the identification of systems under risk. Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) is a method to determine the reliabi...
Comparative Study of a 1D and 2D Numerical Analysis Modelling a Water Flow at a River Confluence under Accidental High Waters
There are presented two numerical simulations – 1D and 2D – regarding the water flow on Timiş River in the Town of Caransebeş, Romania, at the confluence with its tributary Sebeş River. There was considered an accidental...
Technological and Constructive Considerations on the Realization of Components and Parts Using 3D Printing FDM-Type Technology
The work is addressed both the constructive considerations and the analysis of specific deformations generated by gaseous or liquid medium on specific components of the pneumatic or hydraulic installation. The work is st...
