Design, Manufacturing and Performance Test of Direct Solar Powered Heat Pump of Evaporator
Journal Title: Gazi Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Dergisi Part C: Tasarım ve Teknoloji - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
In this study, the heat pump set-up was designed and manufactured by using principle of a vapor compression refrigeration cycle and its componenets. R404a was used as refrigerant and 1,71 m2-solar collector, instead of evaporator, was also used in the system. The condenser is placed in to a water container which has a 40 liter capacity and heat pump was tested under the winter conditions. As a result of the experiments, the water temperature of the heat pump was observed to increase to 44,6 °C, the COP is determined as 2,19. Accordingly, it was concluded that the use of the heat pump system designed for floor heating systems or domestic hot water systems is available.
