Design of a standardized positioning method for handheld detection probe of electrical impedance scanning of the breast
Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 5
Abstract
Objective To study a standardized positioning method for handheld detection probe of electrical impedance scanning (EIS) to reduce the difference of detection positions caused by manual operation of the probe in breast EIS examination, so as to improve the precision of the comparative analysis of multiple detection graphics in the lesion areas. Methods In this paper, a positioning system including probe, reference scale, probe identification label, camera and computer was designed, and breast-specific parameter information was obtained through image enhancement, image segmentation, feature extraction and image recognition technology. The real-time position of the detection was determined by the color code on the probe, the accurate attitude and position of the probe were obtained through coordinate transformation, and the operator was guided to move the probe to the target position. Results After testing, the system could realize the synchronous acquisition of impedance information and position information of EIS detection target area and provide accurate probe body surface positioning information for EIS examination. Conclusion This method can effectively ensure that the positioning information of the probe to the target area is consistent during multiple EIS examinations, realize the standardization of detection, and improve the accuracy of breast cancer diagnosis.
