DETECTION OF LOCAL NOISE IN THE TEXTURAL IMAGES
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2008, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents a classification and identification method for the local noise in the textural images. To identify local noise in the textural images, a reference database with the textural images is used. For the region recognition with local noise, a decision theoretic method is used. The features are of the statistic type and derive from the medium co-occurrence matrices: contrast, energy, entropy, homogeneity, and variance. The algorithm is implemented in a mathematical software and allows the simultaneously display of both the investigated regions pairs, and the Euclidian distance between them. Our experimental results indicate that the five selected features for texture classification give good results to identify the local noise. The results also confirm that the distances between the similar regions are relatively small and the distances between regions from different textured images with local noise are relatively great.

CHARACTERIZATION OF THE IONIC NITRING IN THE PROCESS APPLICATION ON 12% Cr STEELS FOR TOOLS AND COLD DEFORMATION DEVICES MANUFACTURING
The ionic nitriding found a good application in the treatment of cold deformation devices that, because of the hard work conditions, must stand complex loads and show superior phzsicomechanical properties. For example, t...
ON THE SPEED OF CONVERGENCE OF THE SEQUENCES
The study of any nontrivial convergence of a sequence of real numbers conducts to the problem of finding the limit but also to the problem of the speed of this convergence. This speed of convergence is characterized by t...

VISCOSITY IMPROVERS FOR COPOLYMER POLYETHYLENE - POLYPROPYLENE SOLUTIONS
In this article we presented viscosity indices for poly (ethylene-copropylene) copolymer solutions in rapeseed oil using three methods. Viscosity indices are calculated from the measured viscosity at 40 and 100 ºC accord...
