Determination of angle of attack for rotating blades
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
For a rotating blade the flow passing by a blade section is bended due to the rotation and the local flow field is influenced by the bound circulation on the blade. As a further complication, 3-D effects from tip and root vortices do a precise definition of the angle of attack (AOA) a difficult task. Two methods for determining the AOA on rotating blade from velocity and pressure measurements are presented.

Regarding the evaluation of the solid rocket propellant response function to pressure coupling
High frequency combustion instabilities imply a major risk for the solid rocket motor stable working and they are directly linked to the propellant response to chamber pressure coupling. This article discusses a laborato...

Continuous thrust tangential or perpendicular to the flight direction on a given transfer trajectory in planar Circular Restricted 3-Body Problem
This paper presents a systematic study for analytical determination of thrust acceleration magnitude on a given trajectory for a case where the thrust is tangential or perpendicular to the flight direction. The problem h...
Nonlinear automatic control of the satellites by using the quaternion and the angular velocities’ vectors
In this paper, the authors propose a new architecture for the control of the satellites’ attitude by using a control law mainly based on a proportional-integrator component with respect to the quaternion vector and to th...
Methodologies of Measuring Mechanical Power Delivered at the Shaft of an Induction Motor Driven by VFD
Measuring precise power used by a load of an induction motor driven by a VFD implies a few facts that need to be considered. First, the real electric power. When dealing with waveforms of electric current that contain ha...
