DETERMINATION OF BIO PHARMACEUTICAL COMPONENTS OF A NOVEL POLY HERBAL FORMULATION BY GC – MS ANALYSIS.
Journal Title: Indo American Journal of Pharmaceutical Research - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue
Abstract
The present study aims to investigate and characterize the chemical composition of the chloroform extract of a novel poly herbal formulation was studied. The air dried plant materials were powdered and further subjected to gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Qualitative determination of the different Pharmacologically and biologically active compounds from chloroform extract of a novel poly herbal formulation using gas chromatography and mass spectrometry revealed different types of high and low molecular weight chemical entities with varying quantities present in the extract. These chemical compounds are considered biologically and pharmacologically important. Furthermore, the chloroform extract of a novel poly herbal formulation possess unique physicochemical characteristics which may be attributed to the compounds naturally present in significant quantities in the herbal formulation. The chloroform extract of a novel poly herbal formulation possess 13 major bioactive compounds that were identified and characterized spectroscopically. Hence, identification of different bio pharmacologically active compounds may warrants further biological and pharmacological studies.
MICROWAVE GENERATED BIONANOCOMPOSITES FOR SOLUBILITY AND DISSOLUTION RATE ENHANCEMENT OF POORLY WATER SOLUBLE DRUG SIMVASTATIN
Abstract Fairly soluble drugs in gastrointestinal (GI) media exhibit complete oral absorption, and thus good bioavailability. About 40% of drugs are not soluble in water in practice and therefore are slowly absorbed, whi...
VALIDATION OF A FORCED DEGRADATION UPLC METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF BECLOMETHASONE DIPROPIONATE IN RESPULES DOSAGE FORM
Abstract Respules are the drugs in aqueous suspension form contained and packed in respiratory ampules, they are administered through inhalation by a device called nebulizer. The purpose of the study is to validate an UP...
PREPARATION AND EVALUATION OF ANTI HYPERTENSIVE IR GRANULES AND ANTI DIABETIC SR MINI TABLETS FILLED CAPSULE SYSTEMS
The objective of the present study is to formulate and evaluate the Capsule system with the anti diabetic mini tablets of Glipizide and antihypertensive granules of Losartan potassium with different release patterns by u...
SCREENING OF RIBOFLAVIN BINDING PROTEIN (RFBP) FROM AVIAN EGGS TO SCREEN THEIR ANTI-CANCER ACTIVITY
Abstract Riboflavin binding protein (Rfbp) was purified from different avian eggs including Pea cock (Pavo cristatus) Egg- white and Hen (Gallus gallus) egg- white Riboflavin binding protein (RfBP) was isolated. The Rfbp...
NIOSOMAL DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM-A REVIEW
Niosomes are microscopic non-ionic surfactant vesicles formed by the self assembly of non-ionic surfactant. Niosomal drug delivery poses a promising novel drug delivery approach. Niosomes and liposomes have similar physi...
