Determination of the characteristics of intercooling rocks over hydrocarbons with the use of frequency modulated signals

Journal Title: Modern Innovations, Systems and Technologies - Year 2023, Vol 3, Issue 4

Abstract

The article discusses the analysis of the impact of frequency-modulated signals on an anisotropic medium above hydrocarbon accumulations. A quasi-hydrodynamic approach and computer modeling were used to carry out the analysis. Relations have been derived that describe the interaction of anisotropic media above hydrocarbon deposits and frequency-modulated probing signals. Computer modeling was carried out using a specialized mathematical package MathCAD14. A study of the surface resistance components of the profile above hydrocarbon deposits was carried out. A study was carried out of the characteristics of the environment above hydrocarbon deposits for frequency-modulated signals for various values of the frequency of the carrier vibration, dielectric constant and conductivity of the dielectric filler of the host rocks. In accordance with the results of computer modeling, the amplitude and phase characteristics of the surface impedance were analyzed in order to search for hydrocarbons based on variations in the characteristics of the sounding signals. Regularities have been established that make it possible to clarify the recommended frequency range for the formation of probing frequency-modulated signals. Options for introducing various methods and equipment are proposed to improve the accuracy of determining the boundaries of hydrocarbon deposits based on frequency-modulated signals. Methods for increasing the information content of electromagnetic methods of electrical prospecting are shown. The research carried out is applicable to the creation of equipment for searching and detecting hydrocarbon deposits by measuring the resistance of the medium profile.
