Determination of the essence of the electoral dispute and its subject composition.

Abstract
In the scientific article, the author examines the essence of the electoral dispute, establishes its characteristic features, determines its subject composition. The conclusion is substantiated that the subject composition of the electoral dispute is determined by its content and may not coincide with the subject composition of the electoral process. It was emphasized that, in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, the initiation by a participant of an electoral process of consideration and resolution of an electoral dispute should be justified by the presence of a violation of his right or interest in the area under study. The expediency of understanding the electoral dispute as a legal contradiction between the subjects of electoral relations both during and outside the electoral process, which is considered and solved in the procedure established by current legislation on the initiative of an authorized person, has been established.
