DETERMINATION OF THE LEVEL OF SUSCEPTIBILITY TO EMBARRASSMENT OF TOURISM GUIDING STUDENTS

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the level of susceptibility to embarrassment of tourism guiding students. In order to identify the extent to which tourism guiding students have a tendency to embarrassment, the "susceptibility to embarrassment scale" was utilized that was developed by Kelly and Jones (1997), and used in many studies later on. The level of susceptibility to embarrassment of tourism guiding students was researched with the participation of 297 students who have educated in Balıkesir University Tourism Faculty Tourism Guiding department. As a result of the analysis, it was found out that tourism guiding students had low levels of susceptibility to embarrassment. It was also confirmed that the female students were more inclined than the male students, besides the level of susceptibility to embarrassment was also effected by growing age and class.
