Determination of the Velocity Profile аnd Pressure Drop оf Laminarflow іn Diagonal Ducts
Journal Title: Вентиляція, освітлення та теплогазопостачання - Year 2015, Vol 18, Issue
Abstract
We study a laminar fluid flow in a diagonal duct which section is formed by two equal circular arcs. It is shown that the analogy between the velocity profile in such ducts and round pipes does not give sufficient accuracy for engineering calculations. We propose an approximate solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. The velocity profile is described by approximation polynomial. We found the velocity field coefficient and the Darcy coefficient. We prove the possibility of using Poiseuille's law for the case of diagonal channel
