Determination of Toxic Effects of Biopesticide Emamectin Benzoate in the Tissues of Oreochromis niloticus by Acetylcholinesterase Enzyme Activity
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ANATOLIAN ENVIRONMENTAL AND ANIMAL SCIENCES - Year 2019, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
In this study, the effects of emamectin benzoate on the AChE activity in Oreochromis niloticus were investigated. Fishes were exposed to 110 and 220 μg / L of emamectin benzoate for 96 hours and 14 days to determine acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activities in brain, liver and kidney tissues. They were significant changes in acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activities in brain, liver and kidney tissues of O. niloticus exposed to emamectin benzoate compared to controls. AChE activity in brain, liver and kidney tissues of O. niloticus, was reduced in all periods when compared to control values.
