Determining the correlation between the dinar exchange rate and the balance of payments balance - Study of the situation of Algeria between the period 2000/201

Abstract
The objective of this paper is to clarify the relationship between exchange rates and balance of payments and to measure the effect of the devaluation of the dinar against the dollar on the Balance of Payments balance in Algeria during the period 2000-2015. In this study, we used the descriptive approach, the econometric method in the formation of the model, and the E-views program in the analysis. After the construction of the econometric model, We found that the reality of the Algerian economy is not consistent with the economic theory that the balance of payments is affected by long-term exchange rate fluctuations, and there is no correlation between the variables of the study
