Determining the economic development trends in Poland during world crisis

Abstract

Cyclic development of market economy is normal phenomenon. During the recession, usually upset the balance is restored in the previous phases of the cycle. Recent global economic crisis showed the weaknesses of the market mechanism as a self-regulator of economic processes. So we can say that this crisis is not just a typical phase of the business cycle, but rather the beginning of a systemic crisis. Under these conditions, the assessment shall be carried out so far accepted theoretical concepts used in economic policy. Looking to the new paradigms that will guide economic policy in new directions. The main macroeconomic aggregates, especially the trend of their changes make it possible not only to assess the depth of the economic downturn, but also the effectiveness of measures taken in the framework of economic policy aimed at the derivation of the economy on track for sustainable development.
