Development and Application of Automated Assembly Testing Production Line for EMU Air Springs
Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2025, Vol 28, Issue 2
Abstract
[Objective] As the core component of EMU (electric multiple units) bogie system, the performance condition of air springs is directly linked to the operational efficiency and safety level of EMU. Therefore, it is essential to study the development and application of an automated assembly testing production line for EMU air spring maintenance. [Method] The development and practical application process of the automated assembly testing production line for EMU air spring maintenance is introduced. Advanced technologies, such as automated parts feeding, automated capsule pre-assembly and locking, automated pressing of capsules and auxiliary springs, automated pre-tightening and tightening of upper cover screws, automated obtaining and feeding of air springs, and a central control system for the production line, are incorporated into the assembly line. A comprehensive central control system for the production line is developed. [Result & Conclusion] The system successfully implemented functions such as receiving production instructions, executing production, error-proofing and mistake-proofing of production materials, and establishing and tracing electronic records of production information, thus realizing automation in the maintenance and assembly production of air springs.
