DEVELOPMENT OF A NOVEL BIOBEVERAGE – BIOFEVITA

Abstract

Milk is a rich source of calcium and phosphorus whereas it is lack of iron and hence it has to be fortified with some nutrients. Consumer demands are very high over the milk beverages, a novel milk based biobeverage is prepared with dates extract, carrot and beetroot juice. Nutrient composition and palatability of the prepared product was good and it can be marketable. Since it is a sterilized product, it can be stored for three months without refrigeration.
