Abstract
The article deals with the problem of providing housing for the population. The social programs of the state housing policy are described. The stages of formation of the strategy of social development of the territory are considered. The structure of mechanisms for realization of social policy of providing housing for the population is proposed and the advantages of their introduction are shown.
