DIAGNOSTIC FEATURES OF DEPRESSIVE SYNDROME IN PATIENTS WITH PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA

Abstract

We defined the frequency of depression in patients with paranoid schizophrenia (23.9%) which correlates with the level of depression in the world (20– 25%) and among patients with schizophrenia (25%). The use of our proposed diagnostic system can significantly improve the detection of depression (7,6%), which has positive implications for optimizing treatment strategy, the further prognosis of the disease and improvement of quality of life.
