DIAGNOSTIC OF FORMING TOLERANCE TO SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract
Today, more than ever, pupils interact with people of differing ethnicities, religions, and cultures. Still, a modern school should help their students prepare to live, learn, and work in communities that will become even more di-verse. Teaching tolerance is important not just because it is part of our Ukrainian heritage, but because the person who learns to be open to differences will have more opportunities in education, business, and many other aspects of life. The purpose of the research was to study and diagnose tolerance in pupuils of secondary school age. Studied the levels of toler-ance in senior pupils. The author stresses that for solving the problem of raising tolerance in students, it becomes important to study it as a holistic phenomenon in the unity of its essential aspects. Outlined A set of diagnostic methods, in particular: the method of pedagogical observation; individual and group conversations; questioning, testing, conversations in order to identify the under-standing of the concept of «tolerance», its main features, mechanisms of manifestation in relationships, communication with others, needs and motives of behavior; application of situations of moral choice and analysis of life situations; self-esteem method; method of quantitative processing of the received data. Analyzed the level of forming certain behavioral skills and skills characterizing the manifestations of tolerance. Determined how students disclose social and communicative skills in their relationships with others.
