DIALOGICAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE PREPARATION OF FUTURE MARINE ENGINEERS TO INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the usage of dialogical technologies in the preparation of future marine engineers to intercultural communication. The role of dialogical technologies in the preparation to intercultural communication is underlined. It is determined that due to these technologies, students learn to think critically; to solve complex problems on the basis of an analysis of circumstances and relevant information; to analyze, estimate, weigh alternative positions, opinions, to take thoughtful, analytical and logical decisions taking into account the views of colleagues/ partners; to participate in discussions in accordance with the rules of ethical communication. It is noted that the usage of various types of conversation in the preparation of future marine engineers for intercultural communication will help: to form the ability of expression his/her own point of view; to disclose problematic issues requiring clarification; to support productive interaction among the teacher and students; to test effectively the level of learned material and motivation of educational activity; to take a common decision (with the inclusion of the discussion ele267 ments when students’ answers do not coincide); to gain some important practical experience on coordinating actions, the ability to reach a common consensus, the ability to understand a partner’s perception and opinion, to explain your point of view, to give arguments.
