CONCLUSION: The incidence of diarrhoea was found to be high in children suffering from 3rd and 4th degree of malnutrition. RECOMMENDATION: Strategies should be made to reduce child undernutrition, more effectively, by using experiences gained from successful nutrition programmers. Nutrition education, particularly of the mothers should be made an integral part of health education programs to prevent protein energy malnutrition (PEM), leading to diarrhoea in children.
