Diesel fuel degradation during storage process
Journal Title: CHEMIK nauka-technika-rynek - Year 2015, Vol 69, Issue 11
Abstract
This article presents the results of quality tests performed for diesel oils stored for a long time in various storage vessels. Stability of the diesel oils was measured as a result of a few forced degradation tests where the extent of fuel oil degradation was demonstrated by the percentage of insoluble sediments and by the value of the induction period. It was discovered that the quality of stored diesel oils has changed in terms of resistance to oxidation.
