Direct technique to repair a ceramic crown using its fractured part. A case report

Abstract
Restoration of the natural appearance of dentition is essential, especially in the anterior region of the dental arch. For aesthetic reasons metal--ceramic crowns are increasingly replaced by all-ceramic restorations. Throughout the period of their use, feldspathic, leucite, lithium disilicate,aluminum oxide or zirconium oxide dental crowns may yield various damages. Loss of retention, secondary caries, ceramics microcracks or fractures are considered as failures. This article presents an effective procedure for fixing fractured part of a ceramic crown by its adhesive cementation.
